Betrifft: Daniten und so

Hallo,

Daniten = "Daughters of Gideon, Destroying Angels"

wollte nur erwähnen, dass es auf meiner Homepage bislang relativ wenig zum Thema Daniten gibt und ich einen Satz dazu geschrieben habe:
Eine durch den Propheten Joseph Smith ins Leben gerufene geheime Organisation (Bande), die an den Feinden der Kirche Rache üben sollte

Weiter gibt es einen ausführlichen Bericht von John D. Lee, der in Zusammenhang mit der Blutsühne und den Daniten steht.

In Deutsch gibt es leider nicht mehr von mir, weil die Ãœbersetzungen immer so viel Zeit kosten und das Leben ja auch noch andere Sachen bietet:-)
Aber vielleicht hat James ja noch was Ãœbersetztes auf Lager.

Man lasse sich Brigham Youngs Aussagen zu den Daniten auf der Zunge zergehen:

"And if the Gentiles wish to see a few tricks, we have ’Mormons’ that can perform them. WE HAVE THE MEANEST DEVILS ON THE EARTH in our midst, and WE INTEND TO KEEP THEM, FOR WE HAVE USE FOR THEM and if the Devil does not look sharp, we will cheat him out of them at the last, for they will reform and go to heaven with us." (Journal of Discourses, Vol. 6, page 176)

"If men come here and do not behave themselves, they will not only find the DANITES, whom they talk so much about, biting the horses’ heels, but the scoundrels will find them biting their heels. In my plain remarks, I merely call things by their RIGHT NAMES. Brother Kimball is noted in the States for calling things by their right names, and you will excuse me if I do the same." (Journal of Discourses, V. 5, p. 6)

"Some time past the bretheren or Saints have come up day after day to consecrate, and to bring their offerings into the store house of the lord, to prove him now herewith and se[e] if he will not pour us out a blessing that there will not be room enough to contain it.
