War Young schuldig odr unschuldig? Hat er das Massaker befohlen, oder erst später davon erfahren?
"If any miserable scoundrels come here, cut their throats." Brigham Youn (Zitiert in: "red hot blood atonement" sermon. Journal of Discourses, Vol. II., Page 311. )
Die Meinung, dass Young direkt oder indirekt befohlen hatte, vetritt jedenfalls der Author Bill Bagley in seinem Buch ""Blood of the Prophets: Brigham Young and the Massacre at Mountain Meadows," University of Oklahoma Press, (2002).

Ein Zitat möchte ich jedoch hier besonders erwähnen. Es zeigt, wie die LDS wirklich handelt:
